Hyperbole
In a United States where Washington, D.C. has been destroyed by terrorists, life goes on mostly as usual for middle America. Harland hates his cubicle job, smokes a lot of pot, and keeps losing footing with his live-in girlfriend. He feels unable to make anything work, disillusioned by everything from his parents to lousy movies. A pattern of suicides and the discovery of a mysterious device prompt Harland and his friends to unravel a conspiracy while pushing a get-rich-quick scheme. A philosophical black comedy, Hyperbole explores dysfunctions of modern American life through a troubled and acerbic narrator.
This novel has a soundtrack?
Yes, and the songs are catchy, weird, and awesome. As mentioned by Harland, the narrator from Hyperbole, all 7 songs have been pulled from the book's universe into our own by some dark magic that must not be explained.
