The Noble Knave is an album of my favorite songs that I've written over the past ten years or so. A departure from the darker themes explored by my band Eyestrings, The Noble Knave is light, fun, and perhaps more immediately catchy. With songs about the ups and downs of relationships, favorite body parts, and even what an id would do if not confined by the limits of society and science, the album is sometimes quite silly and always quite melodic.

Praise for "The Noble Knave"

"An album that is sure to please anyone who can appreciate rich harmonies and alluring melodies."

-Pete Pardo, SeaOfTranquility.org

"A one-man-band and terrific songwriter, Parmenter composes almost operatic orchestra pop that is part Queen, part [Brian] Wilson, but 100% gorgeous."

-J-Sin, Smother Magazine

"One can hear songwriting chops and a melodic sense underlying Eyestrings dark, brooding progressive rock that is absent in many prog bands, and on The Noble Knave (2007), Parmenter makes that songwriting ability abundantly clear. The Noble Knave is a wonderful progressive pop album..."

-Kinesis

"Song Title of the Week: Dating My Frankenstein from Ryan Parmenter's The Noble Knave"

-Kurt Orzeck, MTV.com & VH1.com

"One of those melodic yet eclectic pop records on which every song happens to be a fun discovery."

-Michael Popke, SeaOfTranquility.org
